INQA Seminar: Anthony Ciavarella, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory -May 7 2024
Title: Adiabatic Preparation of the Heisenberg Model Ground State Abstract: Analog quantum simulators offer the possibility of simulating quantum systems without needing the ability to implement a digital gateset. In this talk, I will review applications of the Heisenberg model to simulations of quantum field theories. A technique for adiabatically preparing the ground state of the Heisenberg model called the adiabatic spiral will be introduced. Possible implementations on neutral atoms and superconducting qubits will be discussed.
