Half Day Retreat: Working With Thoughts, Emotions and Habits That Don’t Benefit You - 3
We all have them — the thought spiral that won’t stop, the emotional reaction we regret, the habit we keep returning to even when we know it isn’t helping. These patterns aren’t signs that something is wrong with us. They are simply the untrained mind doing what untrained minds do. This half-day retreat draws on Buddhist psychology — one of the most sophisticated maps of the mind ever developed — to help you understand where these patterns come from, why they persist, and most importantly, what you can actually do with them. Through teaching, guided meditation and periods of silent practice, we will work directly with the mental states that cause us the most difficulty — not to suppress them, not to judge them, but to understand them clearly and begin to loosen their grip. No prior experience with meditation or Buddhism is needed. All are welcome.
