The next day, with support from the District Administration and State Government, he was airlifted to Medanta Medicity Hospital, Gurugram, for advanced care and all possible treatment was given till the last moment. Unfortunately, his journey was cut short on February 21, 2026 (2:19 pm), after valiantly battling health challenges stemming from the brutal attack of Arambai Tenggol on May 4, 2023, while returning from a high security meeting at the Chief Minister's Bungalow, where he had fearlessly advocated for the safety and transportation of stranded Zo kindred people fleeing Imphal for their respective District Headquarters. His dedication for serving the people was unwavering, he is a hero fighting till the last breath!! Adieu... Brave Heart...!!
