(1993), performed by Multiphonic quartet at UNESCO World Heritage Zeche Zollverein in summer 2021. Michael Nyman, who is a well-known composer of minimal music, wrote this masterpiece due to the unfortunate death of one of his closest friends as well as manager - Tony Simmons. Nyman expressed all of his grief, despair as well as fury within this multipiece work, from which we like the 1st movement the most as it is such powerful and expressive music. Enjoy!
