Cap sur la Louisiane, où les Cajuns défendent le français

On the occasion of the 26th edition of French Language and #Francophonie Week, France 24 is broadcasting a series of reports on the use of French in #Louisiana. It's not easy to keep the French language alive in America. In Louisiana, in the southern United States, the Cajuns, descendants of the Acadians driven from Acadia (Canada) by the English during the Great Upheaval around 1750, now represent only 10% of the population. The use of French is gradually being lost, but from generation to generation, some fight to preserve the language and perpetuate traditions.
