Recital: Bach 1st Suite (+ Prelude 2nd Suite). 2 year 2 month adult cello beginner.

I played at a baptism while visiting in France and decided to do a little recital of Bach's first cello suite plus the prelude of the second suite for friends and relatives there since they haven't heard me play. I had a great time! 0:00 Prelude 3:00 Allemande 6:20 Courante 8:17 Minuet I & II 10:29 Sarabande 12:04 Gigue 14:21 Prelude (2nd Suite) Aside from the Prelude and Allemande, I only had a week to prepare for the other ones (I have played all of them more or less before, so it was mostly refreshing my memory and intonation). I did this deliberatly because I wanted to practice handling my nerves when performing, and by not being "perfectly" prepared for the perfomance I was extra nervous to make mistakes. Often while I get nervous I suddenly go blank and forget the notes, which is the worst scenario for me when performing, It happend here too. So I worked partly on focusing on playing the music and watching the notes despite the nerves (not starting to think about the audience for example), and partly to accept and be fine with doing mistakes. I want to soften my feeling of having to play perfect all the time every time, a mindset that will cause more nervousness. The cello and bow is chinese models that I rented cheaply from a luthier for 2 weeks. Hope you enjoy!
