Eastern Mediterranean and Blue Homeland Policy Continuing his speech, Çömez evaluated the jurisdictional areas in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Blue Homeland strategy, criticizing the withdrawal of drilling vessels from the region. Stating that the Greek Cypriot Administration is continuing exploration activities in the Eastern Mediterranean with international consortia, Çömez asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials about the current locations of the drilling vessels. Cyprus Talks and Western Thrace Schools Touching upon developments regarding Cyprus and the diplomatic processes conducted under the auspices of the United Nations (UN), Turhan Çömez stated that Türkiye should stand firmly behind its two-state solution thesis.
