Ella's Absence Seizures Explained by Ella - EPIC

The Epilepsy Perspective Images Club provided youth with epilepsy the guidance and artistic mediums with which to share their perspectives of life with epilepsy and beyond. In this vlog, written by Ella, Ella brings her audience up to speed on what it's like for her to experience absence seizures. If you've never experienced an absence seizure, watch until the end - it's fascinating! The youth participants are all unique, but they have at least four things in common. They have epilepsy, and they have courageously made themselves incredibly vulnerable, and in doing so, they have contributed to the much-needed conversation about epilepsy. And whether they are aware of it or not, they were instrumental in providing a safe and respectful space in which other participants could be completely open.
