OBJECT 478DUT9-T World War Machines Conquest Gameplay
If you think you know this one, guess again. The Object 478DU9-T is actually as far removed from the typical T-80 formula as it can get without abandoning it entirely. Now that this tank is finally set to arrive at Tier IV in the upcoming Songkran festivities, it’s time we go in for a closer look! Although the Object 478DU9-T wears a familiar silhouette, it packs many generational upgrades under the hood — and nowhere is that more apparent than in how it sees and engages a target. Aided by modern optics and a stabilized fire control system, the 125 mm KBA-3 smoothbore gun delivers a consistent rate of fire with a base reload speed of 5 seconds (4.5 seconds when fully upgraded). Much of this firepower comes from a fleshed out arsenal of explosive and kinetic rounds: 3BM42, APFSDS — A straightforward starter round that just gets the job done with 11.3k base damage, 2.8k module damage, and 585 mm of armor penetration. 3OF26, HEI — This Mk1 sidegrade is less about punching through armor and more about racking up damage. 3BM18M, HEATFS — Unlocked at Mk2 for a step up in damage: 13.8k base, 4.8k explosion, and 4.3k module damage with 550 mm of armor pen. KOMBAT, HEATFS CLGP — This cannon-launched guided projectile is the real deal, giving you slightly over 11k base damage and 3.9k explosion and module damage each, all while bringing your armor pen up to 750 mm. Its main tradeoff is speed, which comes with any guided round. 3BM44U, APFSDS — This top-tier dart is on par with its predecessor, the KOMBAT. Deals some 11.5k base and 2.9k module damage with 650 mm of armor pen, all at top velocity. Complementing the main gun is a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun for close targets, along with a 12.7 mm top-mounted station that adds a layer of point defense. The Object 478DU-9T proves its strength where it matters most — under fire. Its base hull and turret already benefit from the dense, layered protection inherited from the Soviet design, with geometry and internal spacing making penetration a challenge in itself. Beyond the layered composites, the tank makes use of the latest “Nozh” reactive armor — a system that doesn’t just detonate outward like old blocks, but actually disrupts and deforms incoming penetrators, reducing the effectiveness of both shaped charges and kinetic rods rather than simply deflecting them. Despite the added 5-6 kg of sheer muscle, the tank stays relatively mobile, easily reaching 56.5 km/h from a cold start (70 km/h when fully upgraded). Serving with the Royal Thai Army, one of the standout features is the improved heat tolerance, letting the Object 478 redline unfazed through any terrain. Be the first to bring the Object 478DU9‑T into combat and put its power to the test!
