Trin Gilbert (aka Shadow Walker) and her brother Jeremy (aka The Hunter) work for a secret underground section of the government as "hunters"; assassins meant to covertly annihilate any threat they are told to, no questions asked. But when Jeremy is instructed to go off mission by agent-in-charge Klaus Mikealson, he refuses his new orders: extinguish fellow agent Michael Bishop, and goes rogue with Trin. A terrible set of consequences follow their brave choice, leading Trin on a revenge mission that quickly spirals out of control.
