The Tablecloth Top and the Clemente Top and what I have been up to.
Hello everyone and thank you for joining me today in my sewing room today. I have made two tops; I first made the Clemente Top by itch to Stitch in the beautiful Jardin Ornate textured cotton from the Dahlia Sewciety. https://itch-to-stitch.com/product/cl... https://www.thedahliasewciety.au/shop... I do love the fabric but wished now I had not done the burrito method for the front and back yoke as it seems quite thick. I made the size 10 in the D cup so the fit of the top is good, just not sure about the style on me, although it is the type of tops we wore in cheesecloth in the 70’s. I then made the Tablecloth Top by Karmme Apparel, in a highly textured slub raw silk I purchased about a year ago from The House of Cloth in Bendigo. https://www.karmmeapparel.com.au/prod... https://houseofcloth.com.au/ What a fabulous pattern, there are several sleeve styles and I choose the bell sleeve, I’m very happy with this top and will make more, the fabric I used is so textured I really need to wear a vest under the top as its quite scratchy. I fabulous pattern that doesn’t use much fabric, I did use a calico for the facing and the bottom hem as bias tape as the actual fabric was going to be too think, I made the size S.
