Finding The LOST Heart Of Mary Queen Of Scots
One of the most shocking executions of the Tudor period saw Mary Queen of Scots be condemned to die by Queen Elizabeth I. Mary had been involved in a number of plots which all would have resulted in Elizabeth I's death, and Mary becoming the Queen of England. She had been imprisoned for almost 2 decades in England, however on the 8th February 1587 she was brought into the Great Hall of Fotheringhay Castle, for her date with the axeman. Mary had been informed she was to die that day, and a small scaffold in this castle had been made and on this sat a block for her to rest her head. Mary Queen of Scots' execution did not go well and it took two swings of the axe to almost separate her head from her body. But today Fotheringhay Castle the site where she was executed has nothing left of the castle, but there is a legend that states that Mary Queen of Scots' heart was buried inside the castle. That means that today this may still be there at the very place where she was executed. Join us today as we look at, 'Finding The LOST Heart Of Mary Queen Of Scots.'
