Read Your Bible Through a Hebrew lens | Andrew Selley | 07 June 2026

How can I know that God accepts me? It’s one of the deepest questions every person wrestles with, whether they are religious or not. Am I good enough? Have I done enough? Have I messed up too badly? Can I really come near to God with confidence? Most religions answer that question by pointing us back to ourselves - live better, try harder, become good enough. But the Bible gives us a very different answer. Scripture shows us that the standard of goodness is not comparison with other people, but the holiness of God Himself, and by that standard, none of us are righteous on our own. In this message, Andrew Selley, visionary elder of Joshua Generation Church and Four12 Global, looks at the weight of sin, the meaning of sacrifice in the Old Testament, and why the blood of Jesus changes everything. He also unpacks why learning to read the Bible through a Hebrew lens matters. Sometimes we approach Scripture with a very Greek, detail-focused way of thinking, but much of the Bible invites us to zoom out and see the bigger picture of what God is revealing. #hebrewthinking #greekthinking #biblereading #joshgenchurch #dyingtolive #joshgenchurchUSA #sundaysermon #christianmessage #bloodofChrist #salvation #worth #identity #theology #christianteaching 02:30 – How can I know God accepts me? 05:13 – Why Christianity is different 10:40 – Why sin requires a sacrifice 14:12 – The priest, the altar & forgiveness 17:31 – Did Old Testament sacrifices take away sin? 20:31 – Greek thinking vs Hebrew thinking 25:01 – The “I can’t do anything” illustration 29:53 – Understanding Hebrews 10 32:00 – The priest stands, but Jesus sits 34:35 – Jesus’ once-for-all sacrifice 37:06 – Confidence to enter God’s presence 39:33 – Jesus seated at God’s right hand 41:28 – You are accepted in Christ ________ Find us: https://www.joshgen.org   / joshgenchurchglobal     / joshgenchurch_global
