Mercedes W210 Comand Bluetooth Auxiliary Audio

The Comand 2.0 system offered in the Mercedes-Benz W210 is actually a fairly modern radio and has an Aux audio source input which allows any device that has a 3.5MM jack to plug into it. From the factory the input is located in the glove box and is easily accessed through the comand menus. Retrofitting a bluetooth aux streamer is fairly simple and only requires running power, otherwise it is a complete plug and play solution. The benefits of this particular product is that it will give you bluetooth aux, connect to your device when the car starts, and has a microphone which will allow for phone calls. The down sides are is that there is 0 control offered through the radio or the steering wheel controls, and no meta data visible from the head unit or the instrument cluster. As of currently this is the best solution to bringing bluetooth to you Mercedes W210 that has Comand. All the parts used are readily available and cheap. I think the toal cost I spent to do this was less than $50. Links to everything I used are linked below.
