AU Explanation: (Back when Columbina was still alive) Himiko Toga was an ordinary girl, but she was born with a unique gift: the power to transform into another person by drinking their blood. She kept this hidden for fear of how others might react, but the truth eventually came out, prompting her to move away in search of a normal life. She heard about the circus and was immediately drawn to it—why, you ask? Well, she didn't view the performers as monsters, as others did, but rather as human beings, just like herself. One day, Harlequin discovered Toga's ability and invited her to join the circus. They all became good friends, but Toga and Columbina were inseparable. Then came the tragedy involving Harlequin and Pierrot's love for Columbina; when Toga witnessed her friend being devoured, she left, deciding to return another day. (I'll explain the rest later.) Part 2 AU explanation: When Toga moved away, Pierrot began to feel a sense of emptiness; it was as if only Toga and Columbina truly understood him. Ticket Taker disappeared after Toga left (the two had been close friends). When Toga returned, she sought revenge against her friends, believing they had killed Ticket Taker; however, while watching them, she began to develop feelings for Pierrot—who, in this AU, is Ochako. In this AU, the final battle played out as a misunderstanding between the TFC and Toga. Togachako = Pierrot x Toga. FINAL PART OF THE AU EXPLANATION: After all that, Toga died from giving Pierrot more of her blood than she should have.
