How to Combine two beehives / colonies - Using newspaper
How to combine and merge beehives and colonies to be united. Using newspaper is a really simple and effective way to join hives. This is the way we do it and works for us. You can however also combine hives vice-versa but that’s for another time and has a little different technique. This video is for the queenless hive at the top and Queen right at the bottom. If slowly moving the hive, I do say 4-5 days for each movement. This can be done more often but the bees will get a little annoyed and rightly so, hence the take it easy approach depending on situation!
