At the height of my dreams: Lomnický štít (2634 m above sea level), the second highest peak in the Tatras. My journey began at the bus stop in Tatranská Lomnica. From there, it was about a 20-minute walk to the first cable car. The first station, Tatranská Lomnica, is located at an altitude of 903 m above sea level. From there, we take three cable cars to reach the second highest peak in the Tatras, right after Gerlach. Tickets must be purchased several days in advance (www.gopass.sk). The entire route takes less than 40 minutes if we don't stop at intermediate stations. These are the Start Station (1165 m above sea level), Łomnický štít (1751 m above sea level), and at the very end, Lomnický štít (2634 m above sea level). First of all, the temperature at the bottom is 18°C, and at the top 1°C. I managed to get a good view, as from the summit you can see almost 300 peaks, and the peaks were a sight to behold. A round-trip ticket costs 66 euros, but the view from the top is worth every cent. In its proper place, 2,634 meters above sea level, it is one of the highest peaks in the Tatras. I went here to admire the views to the west and south, which I would never see otherwise.
