In this summer beach walk in Afissos, Pelion, we start our journey by strolling through the picturesque main street of the village, where traditional homes with local architecture stand proudly. After walking a few meters, we get our first beautiful views of the bay of Afissos, with incredible crystal-clear waters touching the brown sand. The path is adorned with a variety of inviting cafes and restaurants, offering locals and visitors a chance to enjoy refreshing drinks and delicious meals in a delightful seaside setting. At 12:40, we reach Argonafton square, where large plane trees provide ample shade, creating cozy spots for relaxation and leisurely conversations. Further along, we encounter the charming church of Agia Marina and the small chapel of Agia Paraskevi beneath the belfry. After walking for a few hundred meters along the coastline, we arrive at the main beach of Afissos at 33:50, almost dipping our feet in the crystal-clear waters. The beach is lively with people relaxing on their sunbeds, soaking up the beautiful sun. A line of organized beach bars can be found here, offering visitors a chance to relax with their coffee or enjoy a snack or a proper meal with their friends and families. We conclude our walk at the beginning of the main beach, up on a road bridge overlooking the perfect crystal-clear waters beneath our feet.
