As the cicadas begin to sing around the old apartment complex, the height of summer has arrived once again. This time, the theme is "A special weekend treat: bread and freshly brewed coffee." I headed to my favorite bakery which opens at 6 a.m.?to pick up a little reward for all my hard work over the past week. Savoring that bread alongside a cup of freshly brewed coffee is a truly special experience. Afterward, I got the preparations for my evening drinks out of the way so I could fully enjoy my coffee time at a leisurely pace. As for the menu for my "home izakaya" session this time: ・Deep-fried eggplant soaked in a savory broth, topped with plenty of aromatics ・Curry-flavored roast chicken Since I had done the prep work beforehand, the actual cooking went smoothly.
