I'm showing you how to knit a two-color honeycomb brioche stitch flat. You'll need circular or double-pointed needles. To start knitting the honeycomb stitch with two colors, cast on an odd number of stitches. Starting row (wrong side): With main color: * K 1, slip 1 st as if to purl with yarn over *. Repeat from * to * until the last stitch, K 1. Turn the piece. Row 1 (right side): With contrasting color: slip 1 st as if to purl with yarn over at the back, * split the yarn over stitch and knit the stitch, slip the yarn over as if to purl, holding the yarn at the back, K 1. *, repeat from * to * over the last 2 sts, separate the yarn-over stitch and knit the stitch, and slip the yarn-over as if to purl, holding the yarn at the back. Slip the last stitch as if to purl, holding the yarn at the back. Slip the stitches to the other end of the needle. Row 2 (right side): With main color: K 1, * purl the yarn-over stitch, slip 1 st as if to purl, * repeat from * to * over the last 2 sts, purl the yarn-over stitch, K 1, turn the piece. Row 3 (wrong side): With contrasting color: Slip 1 st as if to purl with the yarn in the front, P 1, * slip 1 st as if to purl with the yarn in the front, P 2. *, repeat from * to * to the last stitch, slip 1 st as if to purl with yarn in front, slide stitches to the other end of the needle. Row 4 (wrong side): With main color: K 1, * slip 1 st as if to purl with a yarn over, knit the yarn over stitch *, repeat from * to * to the last 2 sts, slip 1 st as if to purl with a yarn over, K 1, turn the piece.
