Emergency responses of the Luxembourg City fire station of the Corps grand-ducal d'incendie et de secours (CGDIS) to a large field fire in the district of Hamm. On Thursday, 25.07.2019, a major vegetation fire took place in Luxemburg-Hamm. At temperatures around 40°C numerous helpers of the fire stations from Luxembourg and other voluntary fire brigades fought for hours against the flames. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, a fire engine of the Hesperingen fire station parked near the fire was caught by the flames and totally destroyed. Fortunately there are no injuries to complain about. Since a lot of the crews and vehicles of the Luxembourg City fire station were not at the station when the call came in, one sees also some emergency vehicles responding to the station with lights and siren, where then various special vehicles are occupied and sent in the direction of the scene.
