Las Agustinas de Madrigal nos muestran la casa natal de Isabel la Católica
In this meeting about the cloister, organized by the DeClausura Foundation, we explored the Palace of John II in Madrigal de las Altas Torres, where Isabella I of Castile was born on April 22, 1451. Decades after her death, it was donated to the Order of Saint Augustine and named the Monastery of Our Lady of Grace. Since then, it has been inhabited by Augustinian nuns who, like the most important queen in Spanish history, live with profound spirituality. To this day, these nuns await the miracle that will confirm what they already know: the sanctity of Isabella I of Castile. Ten of the thirteen sisters shared their community life with us as they guided us through this fabulous monastery, which is open to tourists.
