He destroyed the horde of Uruks hai that had kidnapped Merry and Pippin and attacked the Fellowship of the Ring at Amon Hen. Later, he fought at the Battles of Helm's Deep, the Pelennor Fields, the Black Gate, and the Morannon, and as King of Rohan, he helped Aragorn in his campaigns.
