Solving Oversized Loads Frame Storage Challenges with ASRS Automated Intelligent Warehouse

Nova Intelligent has designed and built an AS/RS system for the frame stamping workshop of Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (JAC), dedicated to the storage and handling of vehicle frame beams. The workshop is 18 meters wide with a rail height of 13 meters. Customized unit load bins have a capacity of 3 tons each, and the stacker cranes offer a throughput of 80 loads per hour, fully meeting on-site efficiency requirements. The chain conveyor system transports the bins to the AS/RS interface, where a rotating transfer car receives them, rotates them by 90 degrees, and then the stacker crane picks up the bins for storage. For retrieval, the stacker crane places the target bin onto an outbound transfer car, which then moves out of the rack. A crane subsequently lifts the bin and transfers it to another conveyor cart, completing the retrieval process.
