西南山里的镇——望鱼，是昔日南方丝绸之路、临邛古道（茶马古道）进出成都的重要驿站，这里饱含了我所向往的深山元素：山雨、山林、吊桥、青石板，还有淳朴的山民。我把她看做中国西南小镇的缩影，这里也曾繁荣，但地处深山，且规模较小，没有太大的商业开发价值。这里的年轻人大多外出打工，只留下一些老人和孩子。曾经的医院、学校也废弃了，许多人搬至山下新镇或城里，仅剩十几户居住在山上。整个地方透出与世无争的气质，宁静且安详。 Wangyu, an ancient mountain town in Southwest China, was once a vital courier station along the Southern Silk Road and the Linqiong Ancient Trail (part of the Tea-Horse Road), serving as a key gateway to Chengdu. It embodies everything I love about deep mountain life: misty rain, lush forests, suspension bridges, bluestone-paved paths, and kind-hearted locals. To me, it represents the very essence of small southwestern Chinese towns. Though it once thrived, its remote location and small scale offered little commercial appeal. Most young people have moved away for work, leaving behind the elderly and children. The former hospital and school now stand abandoned, and only about a dozen households remain—most residents have relocated to the new town downhill or to the city.
