And now, with the recent release of The Mountain, I bring you back: Crashing Down featuring Asha Bhosle, Nizar Al Issa, and The National Orchestra for Arabic Music! The new album "The Mountain" has finally been released, bringing with it songs and collaborators rescued from Gorillaz Phase 3, including Gruff Rhys, Yasiin Bey (AKA Mos Def), Omar Souleyman, Mark E. Smith, Bobby Womack, Dave Trugoy (From De La Soul), and others. Among the collaborators is Asha Bhosle, who was originally slated to participate in one of the versions of the song "Crashing Down," but as we know, they never recorded anything with her, and "Crashing Down" was never released in its entirety. On the new album, Asha collaborates on the song "The Shadowy Light," and upon hearing it, I couldn't help but connect the song's relaxed rhythm with "Crashing Down." Since a version with Asha has been confirmed, I decided to blend the lyrics of "The Shadowy Light" with those of "Crashing Down" (the version with Nizar Al Issa that came out in 2016). In addition, I decided to add more lyrics by 2D/Damon Albarn to complement the song. I extracted these from the song "Russian Strings" from the album *The Ballad of Darren*. The reason is that the rhythm, when increasing in speed, is the same as "Crashing Down," and also because in the lyrics Damon explicitly sings "CRASHING DOWN." I made this recreation based on the following description: Crashing Down [V4] (Feat. Asha Bhosle & The National Orchestra For Arabic Music) "In July 2010, Indian singer Asha Bhosle was to replace Engelbert Humperdinck (who never recorded his vocals) on the release version of "Crashing Down", as Damon seemingly wanted someone other than himself doing the vocals, or to have the song recorded as a duet. Damon not wanting himself on lead vocals would be done on the version from the 2016 documentary The White Helmets." This isn't exactly a recreation of version 4; it's more of a final cut, a mix between the 2016 version with Nizar Al Issa and lyrics by Asha Bhosle, and more complete lyrics by Damon Albarn/2D. I hope you like it as much as I do, because I loved the final result and I hope you do too :D G-Drive Download Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QGuq... Disclaimer: This Song is not mine.
