🌟 Cómo EVALUAR la Escala de GLASGOW (👍Fácil y Actualizada)

It is very important to be able to ASSESS the neurological status of the person we are attending to in an emergency situation with a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), and we must do so quickly, simply, and objectively. (🔽more below🔽) To do this, we use the GCS (Glasgow Coma Scale), in which, through different stimuli, we assess their condition at the ocular, verbal, and motor levels—in other words, the patient's level of consciousness. Each criterion has a point-based subscale, and the total score will fall within the following ranges: +15 points: Normal +8 points: Severe +3 points: Deep coma For each criterion, the score will depend on the patient's response: Eye Response: 4: Spontaneous, 3: Verbal stimulus, 2: Pain, 1: No response Verbal Response: 5: Oriented, 4: Confused or disoriented, 3: Incoherent, 2: Incomprehensible sounds, 1: No response Motor Response: 6: Obeys commands, 5: Localizes pain, 4: Withdraws from pain, 3: Abnormal flexion or decortication, 2: Abnormal extension or decerebration, 1: No response Don't miss any of our other videos?
