Birk City on the Green River
Located 10 miles west of Owensboro between Sorgho and Stanley on the Green River, Birk City is a quiet river town surrounded by farmland. It was the site of one of the largest oil strikes in the State of Kentucky and the birthplace of the Green River Distillery. Local historian and Birk City native Grady Ebelhar shares some of the town history and memories from the past. #DaviessCounty #Kentucky #BirkCity
