Masha's skin was fine as a child. But about 10 years ago, she began to experience serious problems—her entire face was covered in acne. It was difficult for her to leave the house—she was extremely self-conscious about her face. Besides her insecurities, she was plagued by pain—her acne was causing her face terrible pain. Foundation became a staple in Masha's life—she never went anywhere without it. Visits to doctors (dermatologists, cosmetologists, and nutritionists) yielded no results—if any improvement, it was only a small one. In 2019, her acne reached its peak—her face was covered in large pimples. Her face was extremely painful, and her mood was at its lowest. But over time, Masha learned to live with it and eventually accepted her body.
