[Tenant B: (The landlord) said they don't have the money right now, so they would try to find it as quickly as possible. They said they have a few buildings currently being sold and would settle the matter once those proceed.] The building was jointly owned by the CEO of a construction company and his family; it turned out they were known as famous "big players" in the real estate industry in the Gangdong, Gwangjin, and Seongdong districts of Seoul. The owner of the house was the spouse of the construction company CEO, and at the time of the Jeonse contract, mortgages exceeding 11.2 billion won were set up on four buildings, including the one in question. Given these factors, the plaintiffs argue that there is a high possibility of Jeonse fraud, as the contracts were entered into while the landlords lacked the ability to return the security deposits.
