Our Synodal Journey: Conducting a synod listening session for your parish, ministry, or organization

Sister Donna Ciangio, O.P., the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Newark and local Archdiocesan co-coordinator of the synodal process, gives a presentation on conducting a synod listening session for parishes, ministries, or organizations. The Archdiocese of Newark began a synodal journey with Catholics worldwide in preparation for the Synod of Bishops in 2023. Pope Francis launched a two-year “synod on synodality,” a call to all the members of the Catholic Church across the world to enter a process of listening to the Holy Spirit and each other to discern the path we must walk together. The synod explores the theme, “For a synodal church: communion, participation, and mission.” All Catholics are asked to participate in the process.
