Schrocks Farm Pull at Gladys Virginia June 6 2026

Dragon Motorsports Pulling returned to Gladys, Virginia for the Gladys Truck & Tractor Pull, and the packed house got a strong night of horsepower, smoke, and competition. WWPTV first made the trip to Gladys back in 2013, and it was great to be back with Dragon Motorsports for another full-event feature. The night opened with Keith Agee taking the Street Gas 4x4 class with a strong pass of 322.19. Then Tripp Ellis returned to the pulling track and put the Allis-Chalmers back in the winner’s circle, going 344.82 and putting five feet on the next closest competitor. The 12,000LB Hot Stock class came next, and Jacob Wise has been laying down some serious hooks lately, but this time he was just a little too good and went over the 14.5 MPH speed limit. The win went to Chuck Kelley, who was celebrating his anniversary and made it count with a pass of 378.42, staying legal at 13.1 MPH and smoking up a storm at the finish. The Truck Outfitters Outlaw 4x4 class followed, where Reed Vess and Ragin Bull Jr. went 331.00, giving the night its fourth different winner in four classes. We also had a special moment on the track with an International 4166 driven by Curly in remembrance of Melvin Albritton. Melvin purchased the tractor from Ed Schrock, and Paul Schrock hauled it to their farm in Chesapeake. Pictured is Curly on his 4166 originally built this machine boasted a 7.1L 6-cylinder diesel engine 175HP and a 100 gallon tank in our bicentennial year of 1976. Curly made the pass in memory of his grandfather, Melvin. Larry Moon also made a pass on his International. The 10,000LB Super Pro Farm class is just getting into its season, and it has been fun watching young Charlie Martin continue to develop behind the wheel of 1,500+ horsepower ground-pounding tractors. Charlie put together a great run and finished second on the night. Taking the win was last year’s points champion, Dustin Reynolds and Pullin’ Teeth. I caught up with Dustin before the pull, and life has been a lot for him and his dad lately, but he is still handling it with a smile. You know that smile was even bigger when he went over to congratulate Charlie after the class. An endodontist is supposed to have a good smile, right? Next up was Hot Street Diesel, where Jamie Donati became the third different winner in this class in as many hooks, taking Gladys with a pull of 334.97. The final points class of the night was the 11,000LB Altered Farm class. Red power had been dominating this class early in the season, but that streak ended in Gladys. Tommy Eppard made an excellent pass of 341.34, putting four feet on the nearest red tractor. But another puller from Stanardsville, Virginia, also running blue, went even farther. Mark Lawson took the class with a winning distance of 344.89, putting Ford first and second on the night.
