Webinaire : Analyses Hydrologie, Milieux, Usages, Climat (HMUC)

On July 4th, a webinar on HMUC analyses was organized by FNE Centre-Val de Loire. The speakers, Pierre Touzac, in charge of planning at the Centre-Val de Loire delegation of the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency, and Camille Ridey, HMUC study manager at the Loire Public Establishment, presented the objectives and structure of an HMUC analysis to project owners. Approximately thirty people gathered in the mid-afternoon to attend the webinar. Following Pierre Touzac's presentation, which outlined the challenges of Hydrology, Environment, Uses, and Climate analyses, as well as the initiatives undertaken in the Loire-Bretagne basin, a flurry of questions arose. These questions focused on water withdrawals in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the various climate change scenarios considered by HMUC analyses, and studies of available water volumes. This was followed by a presentation from Camille Ridey, who addressed the methodology implemented in three main phases. The extreme climate change scenario in the HMUC analyses and the review clauses were discussed between the speakers and the audience.
