At the Schaeffler Automotive Symposium in Bühl, the automotive supplier is showcasing the latest innovations in the automotive industry: faster charging, more efficient electric drives, improved batteries, new cooling concepts, software-defined vehicles, vehicle-to-grid technology – and even brakes that don't rust. We had the most exciting innovations explained to us directly by Schaeffler experts: from battery management with impedance measurement and voltage sensors for solid-state batteries to direct battery cooling and the highly integrated e-axle. Afterwards, we took to the test track: in the VW ID.7 with Schaeffler wet brakes, in the plug-in hybrid with a dedicated hybrid transmission, and in the Kia EV3 with the proven 3-in-1 e-axle.
