Guru- Shishya Parampara in Vedantic Study has not just survived but flourished from the Vedic times to the present. This continuity of a living tradition has meant that at every crucial turn of historical upheavals or social change, the Gurus living in those times have brought about the necessary change and amendment in methodology and practice to adapt and be a beacon guiding our Bharatiya culture and benefiting the society. The Chinmaya Vision Program [CVP] has been an experiment to orient the current school education system with the Vedantic Vision. CVP has formally to infuse modern education with ancient Indian educational principles to form a holistic system of study in order to equip the student s to address the needs of the present time and the capacity to handle the challenges of the future. Spirituality, at the very core of the tradition, inculcates in the student a universal outlook and an essential vision of divinity that pervades all life. With ‘Integrated Development’ of the personality at the foundation of the CVP education system, underlying problems can be approached to bring about a harmonious society.
