✅️ SINDI na seca - REALIDADE - Vacas Sindi paridas e prenhas

Today I'm showing the reality of Sindi cattle during the dry season, here in the interior of São Paulo. Sindi cattle are known for their great hardiness, a breed that adapts to different conditions. But it's important to remember: feeding doesn't work miracles. That's why we see, in the same lot, thinner and fatter cows. In this video, I share a scene from the corral, with pregnant cows of various breeds, sizes, and weights, to demonstrate, without filtering, what it's like to manage Sindi cows during the dry season. The reality of Sindi cattle is this: even though they are resilient cattle, some animals cannot maintain their weight during the dry season, especially when they are their first calf and when pasture stocking rates are above ideal. Here on the farm, we have grasses and grasses that require a lot of water, and therefore, in the dry season, their productivity drops significantly. The result is a scenario where the cattle need to demonstrate their hardiness, but still suffer the impacts of a lack of feed in both quantity and quality. It's worth noting that the drought in the interior of São Paulo is quite different from that in more severe regions, but the challenge remains. Here, management is done with both calved and pregnant cows, all in the same system, with only one bull grazing on pasture. It's a way to provide transparency into daily life, so you can understand how Sindi cattle truly behave under different conditions. 👉 Want to learn more about livestock farming, management, and the realities in the field?
