Five useful tips for skiing with kids. Learning to ski has to be fun. Here are some basic tips and tricks for learning your kids how to ski. Here Is Emma. She is four years old and learning to ski. She has been skiing since she was 2. But now she is progressing and learning the basic techniques. The fundamentals of skiing are stopping, and practicing that can be a bit boring when you want to go fast. But to be able to go on the large slopes it is essential to master the art of stopping. When learning kids to ski, it is essential that they ski them self and that you do not hold them up. Learning to balance and staying on the skis is very important. In this video, I will go over five tricks that will help you and your kid to get the best out of learning to ski. The pizza and spaghetti terms. I have heard this term a lot when kids are learning to ski. And I do not like it. Especially when we talk about the small kids. Because in our head it makes perfectly good sense that ski pointing the tips to each other can look like a pizza slice, and skis points straight look like spaghetti or french fries. I don’t know, but it sounds a bit weird. Especially for kids. A pizza in their head is round, and spaghetti is long and bendy. Os I instead I use. The term KISS. I Wille explain it here. It is essential that the children understand what they need to do and by telling them that the tip of the skis like each other like mom and dad. Then the ski tips need to kiss like mom and dad. The middle of the ski and end do not like each other and need to be apart. In most children's heads, this makes sense. So by making the ski tips kiss they will learn to stop. So when you hear me call out kiss, I am telling Emma to make the skis kiss so she can stop. It is a useful tool that they quickly understand. But remember that rule nr 1 is, that it has to be fun.
