This Death Ward is NOT consumed when the target reaches 0 hit points making your target unkillable for the duration. Not only that but when you heal any ally, they gain Blade Ward, and unlike Hellrider’s Pride this works even on you - meaning if you drink a potion of healing you’ll gain Blade Ward. These gloves are actually incredible, pairing nicely with both Broodmother’s Revenge and the Whispering Promise, and can be purchased off Vicar Humbletoes in the Stormshore Tabernacle of Act 3. And next up is Sorrow, a +1 glaive that you can acquire right when you enter the emerald grove. It grants the bonus action Sorrowful Lash dealing 1d4 + your spellcasting modifier in piercing damage, and pulls the target closer to you. It’s actually the only cantrip in the entire game that innately scales with your sellcasting modifier. Scaling that is usually only possible through passives such as Agonising Blast or Gregarious Caster, granting you quite a lot of piercing damage as a bonus action super early into the game. Pulling your target towards you as a bonus action is perfect for a melee character, and since it uses your spellcasting ability modifier, it’s ideal for a Paladin. The best part is you can easily steal the glaive right when you arrive at The Grove by casting Fog near Rath and passing the DC 2 Pickpocket Check. Place the rune in the slot and enjoy all the end of Act 1 spoils immediately. And next up is Mourning Frost, a weapon created by combining the Icy Crystal, Helve, and Metal. Because it’s a staff, players are lured into using it on some type of Cold spellcaster, but it’s actually best used as a melee weapon. It’s a +1 Quarterstaff that deals an extra 1d4 +1 cold damage thanks to Heart of Ice. As a +1 weapon, it grants +1 to both attack and damage rolls, and the increased chance to hit already puts this above weapons like the Everburn Blade. But if you start combat with Booming Blade, this triggers Insidious Cold and inflicts Chilled on your target causing vulnerability to Cold damage, doubling the weapons 1d4 +1 cold damage, letting you hit super hard with this staff. And next up is the Shortsword of First Blood because it adds 1d8 piercing damage to your attacks against targets that still have all their hit points. 1d8 damage is significant early game, and this blade is secretly made for Assassins because 1d8 turns into 2d8 on a critical strike, which is guaranteed against Surprised Enemies. This opening strike is substantially larger than players would expect, and it’s all thanks to the Shortsword of First Blood. You can find it on the corpse of an executed Deep Gnome, at the entrance to the Decrepit Village when approaching from the Myconid Colony. And next up is the Steelwatcher Helmet because it secretly grants both immunity to any condition in the Blinded status group, but also allows you to see through magical darkness even though the item doesn’t mention this at all. Seeing through magical darkness is actually really powerful in BG3, and because items like Helldusk Helmet claim to grant this ability but don’t. And the most powerful feature of this helmet is that it provides Advantage on Constitution Saving Throws which means Concentration Saving Throws. And it’s also considered medium armour and can be found within the Steel Watch Foundry. #bg3 #baldursgate3 #baldursgate Toyhouze earns from qualifying purchases.
