Caldo verde ( aipim ou macaxeira)

Green Broth (Cassava or Macaxeira Soup) • 250g cassava • Half a calabrese sausage • 1 small onion • 1 dessert spoon of smoked paprika • 1 teaspoon of black pepper • Salt to taste • 4 chopped kale leaves • 4 sprigs of cilantro (For frying the calabrese sausage, lard, oil or olive oil) Note: This broth can be made with potatoes.
