So rather than just go straight to Christchurch we decided at least an afternoon exploring Akaroa and a night at the local campgrounds would be needed. Is Akaroa the most French spot in NZ? Haha it would appear so! Such a cool place to explore. Speaking of exploring - Castle Hill might look like a bunch of ancient ruins from drunk castles, but they're actually limestone formations from 30+ million years ago. 2 particularly random and unique NZ locations to explore that we absolutely loved! Including the odd and lonely stay out at Porter Lodge as well! Season 2 of Reveal NZ is a 15+ part video series showcasing the best things to do, see and experience in the Upper South Island. We're visiting Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough, Kaikoura, Hanmer Springs, Christchurch and more!
