On this trip, I set off from Caraz towards Chimbote, crossing part of the impressive Cordillera Negra mountain range. What seemed like a peaceful route turned into a real challenge in the heart of the mountains. Along the way, a thick fog began to blanket the road, reducing visibility to just a few meters and at times making the road practically disappear before my eyes. On these kinds of mountain routes, risk is always present: narrow roads, sharp curves, and the possibility of encountering rocks on the road or landslides.
