Exploring Gangtok in Crazy Weather 🌧️🏔️ | Ep-2

Welcome back to our epic Kolkata to North Sikkim motorcycle adventure series! 🏍️🏔️ This is Day 2 of our Sikkim journey, and today we finally start exploring the beautiful city of Gangtok. The day began with heavy rainfall that kept us confined to our homestay, but the moment the rain eased, my wife and I geared up with our rain jackets and set out to discover Gangtok's famous attractions. Our first stop was the peaceful Enchey Monastery, one of the most beautiful Buddhist monasteries in Gangtok. After exploring the monastery, we headed towards Hanuman Tok, but the weather had other plans. Sudden rain forced us to change our route, and we instead visited the stunning Ganesh Tok Temple, which offers breathtaking views of Gangtok and the surrounding Himalayan mountains. The weather in Gangtok proved to be incredibly unpredictable throughout the day. Every time we stepped out, the rain returned, forcing us to cancel several planned destinations. Battling the rain, we made our way back to the hotel, only to realize that my riding shoes were completely damaged from the continuous rain and challenging road conditions. Despite the weather, we ventured to MG Marg, Gangtok's famous pedestrian street, where I bought a new pair of waterproof trekking shoes to prepare for our upcoming adventures to Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake, and Lachung in North Sikkim. We also collected our travel permits and documents for the next leg of our journey before finally returning to our homestay through the rain.
