China wins 5-0. 1977 World Table Tennis Championships, Birmingham, England. - Mitsuru Kohno then went on to win the men's singles event, beating Liang Geliang (in the semifinal) and Guo Yuehua (in the final) - possibly benefiting from Chinese sport diplomacy ("Friendship first, competition second").
