Sea Kayak Surfing at Skookumchuck Narrows - DAY 1

Instructor Staff from Deep Cove Kayak and Jericho Beach Kayak teamed up for an adventure to Skookumchuk. We camped at Strongwater Cabins & Campground in Egmont and paddled over to the Skookumchuck Narrows Surf Wave by the Roland Point Viewing Area. Special thanks to our hosts and mentors Mike Gill, Thomas Huckell & Spencer Jones from Deep Cove Kayak. Day 1 was an introduction to currents and eddy lines to get some experience playing in moving water. The wave was just fast enough to get a few rides in.
