Return to practice webinar two: Returners to practice

We delivered a webinar called Returners to practice for occupational therapists, who are currently not practicing and who want to return to the HCPC register.  The event will be facilitated by Anne Keen Professional Adviser – Professional Practice Enquiries Service at RCOT. Returning to occupational therapy practice can be rewarding and fulfilling, and through completing the return to practice process, returners can update their knowledge and skills, and importantly, build their confidence.  The webinar covered topics such as:  1. What is a return to practice programme? 2. How can returners to practice be supported?  3. What does the returner need to do?  4. What status can the returner have?  5. Who can provide supervision?  6. Level of supervision? 7. Promoting employing organisations to returners. This webinar was ran by RCOT and will include contributions from occupational therapists who have returned to practice, occupational therapists in the process of returning, Health, and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Health Education England (HEE).  It is also part of RCOT and Health Education England (HEE) collaboration to create an Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Workforce Reform to shape the future of the AHP personnel. The learning will be for all four nations.
