ABC13's oldest recorded newscast, Aug 23, 1978
Before video, it was difficult to record a newscast. This newscast is the oldest one we have in our archive. The news of that day was a Geraldo Rivera report on the Houston Police Department which angered the then Chief Caldwell. There's a story on METRO buying their first fleet of buses and Continental rolls out its new uniforms for 1979, complete with some bad dancing. Don't forget to subscribe to our channel.
