UPDF TROOPS CAPTURES ADF COMMANDER ABUWAKASI'S WIFE AND 14 OTHERS IN MWALIKA VALLEY
Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) have captured a number of ADF fighters among them women; this after a night crossfire exchange with the Allied Democratic Forces rebel group who were under the command of Abuwakasi along river Taria in Mwalika valley in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Interim reports after charge indicates that ADF commander Abuwakasi survived narrowly but his wife was captured together with 14 women. Our reporter Haruna Mutesasira reports from the formerly stronghold ADF rebel base of Mwalika valley apparently under the control and occupation of UPDF troops commanded by Maj Gen. Dick Olum.
