A Venturi is a fertilizer injector used in drip irrigation systems to mix fertilizer or pesticide with water. It works on the principle of pressure difference. ⭐ How a Venturi Works A high-pressure flow of water passes through the inlet of the Venturi. The Venturi has a narrow portion in the middle. As the water passes through this narrow portion, the water's speed increases and the pressure decreases. Due to this low pressure, the water (solution) from the fertilizer tank is automatically sucked up through the side pipe of the venturi and mixed into the main line.
