StAC: 107th Prizegiving – Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven

🎸🌟 At St Andrew's College, the annual Prizegiving is a much-anticipated event, and the 2023 edition proved to be no exception when it came to delivering extraordinary entertainment. This year, the spotlight shone on various talented groups, however, the true crescendo of the evening came during the grand finale, a rendition of Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven' that left the packed auditorium of around 3,500 attendees astounded. 🎼 This ambitious performance featured around 120 singers and musicians, seamlessly blending the sounds of our rock band and orchestra, enhanced by an impressive light show. 👏 Special commendation is due to the Head of the Music Department, Duncan Ferguson, along with Music Teacher, Mark Hodgkinson, lead singer Grace Burnett (Year 13), lead guitarist Mia Fraser (Year 13), and acoustic guitarist James McIver (Year 12) in bringing this exceptional performance to life. Recognition is also extended to our music tutors and all students involved in this memorable showcase. 🎥 The overwhelmingly positive feedback received from Prizegiving attendees reflects the impact of this incredible performance.
