The Concert Choir of Georgetown University - Millennium Stage (February 24, 2018)
The Concert Choir of Georgetown University gives the world premiere of the cantata Simon Bore the Cross by African American composer Margaret Bonds (1913–1972), with words by Langston Hughes. This work, once thought to be lost, was not performed during the composer’s lifetime and is based on the spiritual He Never Said a Mumblin’ Word.
